Killam Teaching Prizes

In 1990 UBC instituted a tradition of University Teaching Prizes adjudicated within each Faculty and recognized university-wide. In 1996 the name was changed to the UBC Killam Teaching Prizes. The prizes are awarded annually, from the Killam Endowment Fund, to faculty nominated by students, colleagues, and alumni in recognition of excellence in teaching.

Call for Nominations (2011 / 2012)

Contact the Deans’ offices for nomination procedures and internal deadlines. Winners are recognized at the graduation ceremonies. Deadline for submission of winners’ names and citations to the Office of the Provost and Vice President Academic (via e-mail to kate.carr@ubc.ca) is March 16, 2012. Citations must be no longer than 100 words.
